Surface Pro 4 Touchscreen nach Juli-Update ohne Funktion

Nach einem Update vom 24. Juli 2018 für Windows 10 funktionieren bei einigen Surface Pro 4 weder der Eingabestift noch der Touchscreen. Durch einen Fehler scheint der notwendige Treiber nicht mehr zu starten.
Auf Microsofts Answers-Seite meldete sich der Nutzer Elixirhunter zu Wort. Sein Surface reagiere nicht mehr auf Touch-Eingaben, seitdem er sich das Update KB4340917 für das Betriebssystembuild 17134.191 heruntergeladen habe. Dabei hätte das Troubleshooting-Tool in Windows den Fehler entdeckt, ihn aber nicht beheben können. Gleichzeitig könne er sein Gerät nur durch langes Drücken des Power-Schalters anschalten und der Boot-Prozess würde sehr lange dauern.
Temporäre Lösung durch die Community
Microsoft meldete sich hierzu am 14. August, konnte aber hierzu keine Lösung anbieten. In dem Thread mit bereits über 240 Antworten wurde von einem Surface Pro 4 Nutzer empfohlen das Betriebssystem auf den letzten Build vor dem Update zurückzusetzen. Bis zur Behebung des Fehlers sollte in den Windows-Einstellungen die Option "Updates aussetzen" aktiviert werden.
Wann der Fehler behoben wird ist derzeit noch nicht bekannt.
